Andrew is a co-Founder of Terra Education and serves as the Executive Chairman. Andrew has extensive experience managing and catapulting the growth of international education and volunteer programs. He served as senior vice president for the non-profit international travel program Cross-Cultural Solutions, where he helped build programs from scratch into a network of 14 countries and 2,500 volunteers. Throughout his career, he has worked with several tech startups, but his passion has always been experiential education. Andrew is a graduate of Lawrence University and has done graduate studies in non-profit management at New School University in New York City. He speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
Peter is a co-Founder of Terra Education and serves as CEO. Most recently, Peter was Managing Director at Tana Africa Capital, a leading Africa-focused investment company. Previously he did interim management work in West Africa in the banking, telecommunication and consumer goods sectors. Peter was an Engagement Manager for McKinsey & Company, where he was based out of the Johannesburg office and did project work in Europe and Africa. Peter is a German citizen; he holds a Master’s degree with honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aachen, an honors degree in Law from the University of Hagen, and a degree in Economics from the University of Bayreuth.
Jessica has always had passion for leadership development and initiating personal change as she is proud to be a first generation college graduate. Her passion for international education and social entrepreneurship stems from various experiences studying, living and working abroad, as well as years of experience operating and managing international programs in developing countries for Terra Education. Jessica is a graduate of Oregon State University, where she studied history, anthropology and Spanish. She believes in the genuine inspiration and transformation of the next generation through authentic, international learning experiences abroad.
